March Employee of The Month

Coach Prescott teaches Forensic Science, Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Martial Arts, and Jr. High And High School boys athletics. Coach Prescott coaches Football and Track and is very involved in athletic injury prevention and athletic training. His versatility and Jack-of-all-trades reputation is heavily relied upon by everyone here at Bowie High School. Coach Prescott has multiple talents but one that that should be recognized is his ability to teach. He has a way of capturing the attention of his students and focuses on student learning. He has high expectations of his students and is very professional in and out of the classroom. Having teachers like Coach Prescott is another reason why Bowie High School is a great school.

March Student of The Month

Cameron Gunter is the March student of the Month. Like Coach Prescott, Cameron is talented in multiple areas. He is a senior at Bowie High School, who is involved in Band, UIL academics, One-Act Play, Tennis, Jazz Band, NHS, and many other clubs and organizations. Last week is a perfect example of his versatility. Tuesday, Cameron played a lead role in our One-Act play which advanced to bi-district. Wednesday he lead our percussion section during our Band Concert and Sight Reading competition in Jacksboro where our band won another sweepstakes by receiving all 1’s. Thursday competed in the tennis meet in Wichita Falls and then rushed over to MSU to compete in Academic UIL. And to top the week off, Cameron gets Friday started by leading the S3 (Students Standing Strong ) meeting, which he is president of. Students Standing Strong is a student-led, non-profit, inter-denominational organization designed to encourage and motivate students to stand strong in their Christian faith. As you can see, Cameron is very successful in his extracurricular activities but what none of this shows is how successful he is in the classroom. Cameron is currently ranked 2nd highest in this year’s graduating class! Bowie High School is a great school because of students like Cameron Gunter!

January Employee of the Month

Congratulations to Mrs. Suzan Holloway for being named the January employee of the month. Mrs. Holloway teaches math and directs the RtI program at the High School. Her dedication and dependability never goes unnoticed. She is constantly helping students reach their goals and is always there for the rest of the staff at Bowie High School when they need help. Mrs. Holloway is super intelligent and a great problem solver. She has taken the RtI program and developed a system that meets the needs of every student. It is obvious that Mrs. Holloway is very well respected by her students, colleagues, and administration. Bowie High School is a great place because of teachers like Mrs. Suzan Holloway.
