My interest in Bowie began over three years ago as my wife Tammy and I started the search for a home to raise our son. Brock will be six in August and looks forward to his first year in Bowie ISD. I also look forward to my first year in Bowie ISD as the principal at Bowie High School.

It is my desire to see students and staff passionate about education. I believe it is one of the highest callings to be a teacher and I plan to lead with enthusiasm. I am extremely encouraged by the conversations I have with those in leadership positions in the district and believe that a cooperative spirit exists which will enhance all areas of student life.

I have already heard from students, staff, and the community the numerous things they believe make Bowie a great place to live and attend school. I hope you will take the time to inform me of what is valuable to you.

As I prepare to lead I am aware that I need to know what is accepted and what is expected. Please let me know what needs to be accepted as tradition in Bowie ISD that you would like to see continue. Also, please share what you expect as we look to the future. I plan to ask new questions periodically so please check often and send a response.
